2016 Chevrolet Camaro Compared to Cadillac CTS
If you are in the market for a top of the line vehicle, you may think the Cadillac CTS is the pinnacle of luxury. If you do a side by side comparison, however, the Camaro is the hands down winner in almost every category. Let's break it down and see why the Camaro should be your next car purchase. We will be comparing the Cadillac CTS and the Camaro 2LT and the Camaro SS, both of which are considerably lower in price than the CTS.
Performance Features Compared
The Cadillac CTS has a turbocharged 2.0 engine with 268 horsepower and 29 miles a gallon. The 2016 Camaro SS has a V8 engine with 455 horsepower and 25 miles a gallon. You can also get the Camaro 2LT with a 2.0 and 275 horsepower. The gas mileage on this model isn't specified yet.
The rear wheel drive Camaro has StabiliTrak which is a stability control system with brake assist on both models. All three vehicles feature a limited slip differential and 4 wheel disc anti-lock brakes. The Cadillac CTS is all wheel drive, which is comprabable to the StabiliTrak.
Safety Features Compared
Aside from standard features like airbags, The Camaro SS has Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Park Assist and a Side Blind Zone Alert. Both Camaro models feature a Rear Vision Camera and all OnStar features. The CTS Features a Parking Camera and an optional Driver Assist Package, which will make the price go up. This features Lane Assist, a Forward Crash Alert, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The CTS has a Tire Pressure Monitor, the Camaros do not. All other safety features are found on all three models.

All models features an intuitive layout with cup holders and storage, and ambient interior lighting, heated steering wheels. and heated and cooled fully adjustable seats. They also feature OnStar and a Bose sound system. The Camaro features great ergonomics for shifting, and a six speed manual transmission, with an optional 8 speed automatic paddle shift, which is standard on the CTS.
To help sum things up, here is a list of the advantages of the Cadillac CTS. The CTS has Lane Assist, a Forward Crash Alert, and a Tire Pressure Monitor. It also gets slightly better gas mileage than the Camaro SS. It has superior performance, many interior and exterior customization options, and almost all of the same safety features of the CTS for a much lower price.
