On behalf of Representative Briggs and the Ardmore Initiative, thank you very much for your participation in this year’s Family GreenFest!
This year was a huge success, not only in terms of attendance, but also in our recycling efforts. We collected hundreds of plastic bags for recycling and over a dozen large bags of clothes for Career Wardrobe. Covanta was able to collect over 25 grams of mercury which may appear small in weight, but is really quite a lot of a material that can be very toxic in small amounts. And last but not least, ECOvanta collected 3,760 lbs. of small electronics!
We have had extremely positive feedback from people who attended who attended GreenFest on the great activities and information that was available at each of the tables and displays. It was a fun and informative event for the whole family and I hope that you enjoyed it as well.
